Dissappointed in Favre

There were a lot of mistakes made by both the Packers and Brett Favre over the past few months. However, at the end of the day I put much of the blame on Brett. The Packers have tried to make the best out of a difficult situation. With Brett's lack of complete commitment until just a few days ago, they had to move on. All it would have taken from Brett at any point was a clear and unwavering commitment to be a Packer this year. I loved watching Brett while he was here, but I am glad he is not here now with the attitude that he has had this summer. I am ready to get behind the Pack, Ted Thompson, Mike McCarthy, and Mark Murphy included. Let's see what Rodgers can do. He has a great team around him. I will be watching to see how Brett does, but it certainly won't be the same. There is only one reason why Brett is not playing for us this year: He couldn't get over himself. May we learn to be humble and follow humble heroes such as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and not heroes who remind us that they are never too far from falling.
